As a forever admirer of nature and all it offers, it’s no surprise that I have chosen to work with pressed botanicals as my medium. Flower petals, stems, leaves, grasses, and even some vegetables, yield one surprise after the other as they leave my presses. I combine the amazing colors, shapes and textures of these materials into mixed-media collages using paint and hand-printed papers to accent their organic beauty. My aim is to create a new way to experience nature and introduce viewers to the richness of botanical materials as an art form.
