I am an Orwell, Vermont based painter working in soft pastels and acrylics.

Painting is meditative and peaceful, and it offers me time to closely explore the beauty in the living world. As an avid nature lover, the inspiration for my art is often drawn from my bucolic surroundings rich with plants, bugs, and animals. I am fascinated with capturing the effects of strong lights and darks with color. 

Because I really enjoy getting to know the subjects I paint, I often prefer painting with a closer, more intimate perspective.

A painting has the power to change the way we perceive the world around us. My goal is to offer the viewer an opportunity for a moment of deeper connection and appreciation of nature.
