Meet our newest artists.

We’re thrilled to welcome three new artists to the Guild. Meet them and see their work on November 9 from 5pm-7pm at the opening reception of our holiday show “Celebrate with Art”.

For many years, Winslow Colwell was Vermont’s only full-time kite maker. Now, he has shifted his focus to kite-inspired wall sculptures. These upward-looking constructions act almost like a window, depicting the sky at various times of the day. Constructed from  materials that are uniquely Japanese, the design of each piece evolves from that aesthetic.

Photographer Michael DiMeola is a landscape and nature photographer drawn to minimalist compositions with clear subjects. His work tells the story of the traditional Vermont life, encompassing both its natural wonders and the interface between humankind and nature.

Living on a Vermont farm has given Catherine Palmer a love for the people and animals that make up her agricultural heritage. By building up many layers of semi-translucent color pencil, she portrays the intimate moments of human-animal interaction. These sensitively observed scenes of the Vermont countryside record a nostalgia for small-farm life.
