In the gallery: Warren Kimble’s Artful Assemblages

The Brandon Artists Guild is pleased to present Artful Assemblages, a solo show of new work by Warren Kimble, at the gallery May 6-July 9, 2022. For this show Warren has conjured a world of imaginary cityscapes, exotic stage sets and patriotic tableaus using antique parts and pieces from the last century.

These new dimensional works reflect Kimble’s years as an antiques aficianado with a special interest in handcrafted toys, furniture parts, discarded factory molds, obsolete kitchen implements and the like. He has cherry-picked vintage elements from his collection to create elaborate three-dimensional scenes that are sometimes mysterious, sometimes theatrical and sometimes so whimsically patriotic that it seems that you can hear John Philip Sousa’s marching band off in the distance.

Join us for an opening reception on Friday, May 6 from 5-8pm to meet Warren and see this latest body of work. The show will be up at the Brandon Artists Guild gallery May 6 – July 9, 2022. We’re open Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sunday 10am-4pm.
