I find wood to be a fascinating and living material through which I am able to sense and see the creative power of God. During the creative process my goal is to allow the material to speak. This entails carefully examining the grain, texture, and color, and allowing the wood to direct the shape and scope of the piece. Simple objects like small chests come to life when the materials and joinery are carefully selected for maximum visual impact. The goal in all of my work is create pieces that will last a lifetime and honor my heavenly Father who has granted the ability, material and motivation. “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Cor 10:31
