Life in Vermont gives me the feeling that I have entered my own artwork. It has enabled me to evolve my favorite themes of nature and the mountains and add a lively fantasy of playful visible spirits.
My fascination with glass developed as a response to its intense light-infused color and ability to create a spiritual feeling of total focus. By using modern kiln fusing, I can build areas of pure color without heavy outlines. Then, through the ancient technique of fired glass painting familiar from gothic church windows I add rich shading and fine detail.
