Althea Bilodeau Lamb is a third-generation fiber artist whose work moves fluidly between textile and fashion. From her Vermont studio, she creates sculptural, one-of-a-kind garments using hand-dyed merino wool, silk, and natural fibers, transformed through the ancient process of felting into pieces that balance structure, movement, and drape.

Raised on a self-sufficient farm in upstate New York, Althea grew up alongside her mother, a weaver and spinner working with fleece from her own sheep, and her father, a part-time musician—an environment where creativity and craft were part of daily life. This foundation informs her distinctive design language, where surface, silhouette, and material are developed in tandem.

She studied costume design at SUNY Albany and fashion design at Parsons School of Design, and has further refined her practice through study with internationally recognized feltmakers. Her textiles have been featured in collaboration with designer Chris Benz, appearing in runway collections and select retail, including Saks Fifth Avenue.

Rooted in slow fashion yet visually striking, her work offers a modern, tactile approach to luxury—where each piece is both garment and statement.
